Dear all

Thanks for your fruitful inputs.

I copy here the references to the Open Innovation Lab in the DOW. Hope it helps to clarify

To open up the testbed to third parties as an Open Innovation Lab from the second release of the testbed onwards, and to help, through the test-bed site, Programme Facilitation and Support in engaging SMEs and maximising their involvement in phases 2 and 3 of FI-PPP Work Programme.

PAGE 97 OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

In addition to the technology provided by FI-WARE, the project will work towards the establishment of an Open Innovation Lab around the FI-WARE testbed that may help third parties and not just the Use Case projects, to test how innovative applications may be developed on top of FI-WARE GEs. To maximize the impact of FI-WARE we will consider successful stories of user involvement like the ones of ENoLL

In order to pave the way for a successful exploitation and sustainability, FI-WARE will work on setting up an Open Innovation Lab around the FI-WARE testbed supporting community involvement beyond Use Case
projects: a space where future innovations on top of the generic enablers provided by FI-WARE can be nurtured. The definition of this environment will be carried out here in cooperation with other WPs of this project (ex. Testing environment) as well as other projects of the FI-PPP (Capacity building, Programme Support). Availability of the FI-WARE testbed per se does not guarantee innovation as such, therefore this Open Innovation Lab will comprise all what is needed to stimulate awareness among target application providers and users so that they feel attracted to participate and build a community. It will also bring tools helping members of the community to share their experiences, needs, etc. The ability to potentiate this will be addressed from the methodological point of view, including tools (ex. ideas management platform) as well as by considering existing initiatives like ENoLL[1], CIP[2] projects and OISPG[3]. Some of these ones support user-driven innovation, from which we will consider main lessons learned for community involvement. It is expected that this Task will be crucial for the preparation of the future phases of the FI-PPP and to guarantee overall acceptance of the solutions proposed by FI-WARE.
Partners involved:
TID (leader), SAP, IBM-IL, THALES, TI, FT, NSN-FI, ATOS, ENG

PAGE 100 "DESCRIPTION OF DELIVERABLES"

D11.2.1) Exploitation Plan, including IPR Management: This deliverable matches the periodic release of exploitation plans, including the overall approach of the project as well as individual exploitation plans. IPR policies and management will be a crucial issue that will be treated in detail along the project duration and following the basis of the CA and the FI PPP collaboration agreement. A complementary aspect of exploitation will be that of sustainability: FI-WARE will cover this by addressing two different phases: preparation of Phase
2 and 3 of the PPP, which will consider the setting up of an Open Innovation Lab around the FI-WARE testbed, and secondly analysis and definition of sustainability models for FI-WARE beyond the boundaries of the PPP.

FI-WARE portability. Candidate organizations and SMEs should favorably consider the FI-WARE approach. That should be assessed through the Open Innovation Lab as described in WP11. The rate of acceptance of SMEs attending training workshops/sessions in the Open Innovation Lab described in
WP11 should be higher than 70%.

Asunto: Re: [Fiware-legal] SAP comments to FI-WARE OIL T&Cs

Dear All,

Please find attached SAP's latest comments on the FI-WARE OIL T&C's, for the discussion next Monday. Thank you for your patience as we gathered these to submit.

In order to hopefully save time in compiling an overall version of the comments, I have marked the SAP comments directly on the redline version circulated by IBM yesterday.
I have marked all SAP comments with "SAP" or in some cases just added to an existing comment box already labeled "SAP".

Many of SAP's comments are directed towards adding concrete language addressing our previously raised concerns, as suggested. We hope this facilitates a productive discussion on Monday.

Thank you and best regards,
