Hi - I started to fix this but in the end could not figure out how in a sensible way. It is difficult to think of specific things without using their names. The gut of the matter is that in the architecture we use a specific previously defined entity-component model and refer to it. It is a standard proposal which is not necessarily tied to any product -- any product is free to adopt the model. We already do not refer to products, such as Tundra or Meshmoon’s Rocket -- realXtend is not software but just an organization (like W3C but for VWs and million times more modest ofc) In my understanding changing the reference to ‘realXtend Scene and EC model’ to just ‘Scene and EC model’ is like changing a reference to ‘HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP)’ to plain ‘transfer protocol (TP)’ so that it would not be tied to a product (the web) anymore. Both those edits would loose all information. In the same way XML3D is a specific standard proposal, an xml scheme, not tied to a product (also WebTundra implements a part of it now). I check more if can however edit the refs etc according to the suggestions. Lasse or anyone do feel free too if get a good idea. ~Toni From: mach (mach) Sent: Friday, March 14, 2014 12:13 PM To: FI-WARE, MiWi Hi again Some comments coming up, while checking some of the OpenSpec pages. Please also change the link to the updated Open Specification APIs (by removing " (DRAFT)“ at the end of the link name) OpenSpecs have to be product neutral. So references e.g. to "RealXtend “ should go to the respective GE (not the product), (except maybe in the References sections to external specs). Also the page "RealXtend Scene and EC model“ should be renamed to „ Scene and EC model“ and kept product neutral. This model should also be reference in the API section of the responsible GE Specification (Synchronization?) Please also check the consistency of the heading structure of the API page. Here no template is given, but the headings within the document should be consistent. Also consider to use headings instead of bold text for titles. Some of the GEs had comments/suggestions to enhance the description in the R3 Architecture review. Please consider these comments for updates to enhance the Open Spec . Finally please mark the status updated (incl. date) in the dashboard for each of the documents, when it is ready for my review and let me know if you have additional documents Thanks. I was already wondering, why I got no feedback or questions and could not find it in my inbox. Sorry for this. Christof ------ Dear WP13 GE owners A short reminder and instructions regarding the update of the Open Specifications and Open Specification APIs for FI-WARE Release 3. As announced a few weeks back, the OpenSpecification updates for those GE owners extending work until M40 should be ready by this Friday, March 14th. (those not extending are already overdue). I created a Dashboard to track the current status of all the OpenSpec v3 Documents here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Auieh_fs3EUxdFVvY19ab1lFRDRUaTBrUXlpYzBVRlE&usp=docslist_api#gid=21 It contains direct links to the documents to be updated: OpenSpec (per GE): update in the same document as before The document is mostly a wrapper page for some subpages (Architecture, Details page,…), but you can update the detail pages with the section-edit (link next to the heading). Especially the detailed pages should not anymore declare the APIs as Draft. OpenSpec APIs: update the copies of the old documents (without the DRAFT extension) The FI-WARE Overview wiki page for OpenSpec v3 can be found here: https://forge.fi-ware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fi-ware-private/index.php/OpenSpecs_v3 If you have not updated your page yet, I guess/hope you have all the documentation ready and only need to transfer it to the wiki-page. Please do so latest until coming Sunday March 16th 18:00. (I have to do a short overall review and create a Word Document of all the wiki pages until Monday, which also takes me some time) Best regards Christof ---- InIT Cloud Computing Lab - ICCLab Institut of Applied Information Technology - InIT Zurich University of Applied Sciences - ZHAW School of Engineering Phone: +41 58 934 70 63 Skype: christof-marti _______________________________________________ Fiware-miwi mailing list Fiware-miwi at lists.fi-ware.eu https://lists.fi-ware.eu/listinfo/fiware-miwi -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
