[oasc-iot-lsp-cities] First interim draft version of our proposal

Please find attached the next consolidated version.

Alex, Martin and Mirko will continue working on the doc later tonight on Mon. Don’t let that hold you back though in producing text.

Chapter 1 Excellence (Alex)
Alex is currently waiting for first solid text for the following sections from the following persons (ask Alex if unsure who’s to do what):
1.3 Key concepts – responsible editor Juanjo
1.4 Description of the reference zone – responsible editor Remco
1.5 Ambition – responsible editor Nadia

Could you please send your contributions to him by 17CET for integration? Please try to respect the deadline as they will perform another gap analysis later tonight.

(I have so far managed to integrate 3 Ref. Zone descriptions/ambition sections in there. See if you have another/better approach.)

Chapter 2 Impact  (Mirko)
email your incremental contributions to Mirko

Chapter 3 Implementation (Mikko)
email your incremental contributions to me (Mikko) by tomorrow Tue at noon.
- I have the feeling the Open Calls need to be pruned quite a bit.
- quite a bit of stuff from the coordinator’s pen still to be included.

ps. Use the spell checker in your Word! At this point, please do not write text you’d not want the evaluators to see. Time for brainstorming and pondering is over, now it’s about time to produce complete phrases with proper formatting. If unable to resolve open points, but feeling too timid about removing fuzzy text, insert “###”.

Attached is an interim version of the proposal, still very much work in progress. Expect a better one from myself and Martin on Monday. (I need to still include the ref. zone descriptions (somtething like 16 pp.) and Martin will make his edits while going through it over the weekend.) As you can see, a lot of work still remains, and that is up to each partner.

Please note that any changes made to google docs this afternoon would probably no be reflected in the text, which now lives as a MS Word document. So don’t edit in Google.

Names in parentheses after each major Chapter indicate the respective Chapter Editors who will then, beginning on Monday, start implementing changes on top of the then-current version from myself and Martin. So effectively the file will on Monday be split into three Word files for easier parallel editing.

Process:

Please take the file and make parallel edits but then email to the Chapter Editors only the bits you have modified — remove everything else! (Do not care for heading numbering changing.) Do respect formatting with the Word styles used.

Use triple-X (XXX) or triple hash (###) to mark areas under construction. Before submission Martin can then search for such strings and make sure no loose end are left dangling — at that point most likely by just surgically removing such bits. So do try to resolve them later yourself if you only can.
