Dear partners, The City of Carouge and the State of Geneva are very pleased to join and contribute to the LSP proposal. Unfortunately, I won't be able to join the conf call this week, but Mandat International will keep us informed. One of our proposed focus in the project will be to develop a showcase of 3D audio monitoring. Carouge is particularly interested to leverage on and integrate its Street Noise Monitoring IoT deployment based on LoRa. It will monitor the street noise 24/7 (cars, trams, buses, people, etc.) and creates a 3D Map of noise pollution in real time. This is the first time connected LoRa sensors will be tested for this kind of application. In the phase one, we will compare the results with the current system. If it becomes a reliable and certified system, the goal is to manage and decrease the noise pollution where needed. More generally, the City of Carouge is looking forward to cooperate with the other reference zones and cities associated to the project and would be keen in seeing applications developed on top of the common framework to address municipality and citizens needs. One idea, inter alia, would be to see an application enabling citizens to find nearby quiet zones and parks being developed through the open call. Although the discussion on the specification of base applications and co-creation is urgent, it is imperative to have (direct) representatives of all reference zones participating in this call. Please be aware that so far the reference zones were mostly represented indirectly and did not participate in the calls and/or meetings in person. In fact, I am not sure if we even already have direct representatives of all reference zones in the mailing list (@Mikko can you please check status?), but at least contact details for city representatives (name and email) are missing in the excel file on the google drive for the following cities: Antwerp, Helsinki, Milan, Porto, Santander (Juan Echevarria?), Novi Sad. Can I please ask the respective reference zone partners to complete this information in the form: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XzT5JxLzCNXgzcFFpggb2QioL2hHFBuHlRMt1XNi400/edit#gid=0 As some of the city representatives have only recently been appointed , sending a doodle invite without further background information and then closing it the same day is a little too pro-active for my taste (for example, I have only been able to brief the newly appointed Eindhoven project mgr today). Can I ask you to re-open the doodle, extend the possible dates to also include the first half of next week, wait for responses of all references zone delegates and pick a date in which all cities can join facilitated by Stefano as WP3 lead, and consider the other partners (including myself) as optional?
