Hi Monique,

Thanks for the e-mail below. In fact we are discussing these days what the event strategy and calendar will be in 2016, specially at the sight of the available budget and the fact that both FI-CORE and CONCORD, the funding projects for the Press Office have been extended for three more months, until e/o 2016.

We will produce a shortlist of events which will have the commitment of the Press Office in terms of sponsorship and/or materials. These events will fall in the following categories:

- Pure Developers Events, such us Campus Party or Codemotion.
- Large Vertical / Thematic Events such as SCEWC.
- Selected NIST/GCTC events.
- Geographical / Vertical events for SMEs (formerly known as the FIWARE Roadshow, we feel like duplicating efforts with the A16 as they have been prompted by yht EC to organize these events for their geographies/markets). The Press Office will be present in some of them to support.

It is still pending a discussion with the EC to understand what will be the role of the Press Office in supporting the VIP program in terms of communication. As all of you know this initiative was born and is driven directly from the EC, but there is no budget allocated on our side unless we remove some other activities. We expect to have this call as soon as possible before Christmas.

The overall idea is to have a closed plan to be presented at the A16 meeting + SB in Milano e/o January. Being 2016 the last year of EC support it is mandatory to allocate resources from now on.

in order to better plan FIWARE Mundus and Regions activities in the next
6-8 months we would need to have a clearer idea of the planned upcoming events, including the planned FIWARE Roadshow ones. Will they take place? How to proceed and coordinate on them?
