Dear Fiware Opencall team,

I am preparing a proposal for the Open Call – FIWARE Lab nodes support.

I have been checking as much technical documentation as I could, but yet
I have some doubts.

Regarding the OpenStack infrastructure, I have seen you provide ITBox ,
which is a tool based on Fuel to deploy and configure the OpenStack
cloud as well as the needed services to join the federation.

We have been working with OpenStack for some years and we already have
some installed versions and new to come.

I have some techical questions I would be very pleased to find answers for:

Is it possible to reuse our planned OpenStack installations based in
Kilo version?

Will it be compulsory to install everything from scratch using your own
tools due to compatibility?

If we can keep our versions of OpenStack . Is it yet possible to use
ITBox or similar tools to deploy the needed services to integrate with
your Fiware federation or should we adapt them to our infrastructure
manually on our own?

I have seen in some tutorials on youtube you are doing developments to
keep your infrastructure compatible with current OpenStack versions ,
but I do not know your level of progress.

Depending on your answer I will try to fit my proposal with your real needs.

Thanks a lot in advance,

RubEn
