Dear FI PPP Dissemination managers/ representatives,

 

I would like to confirm your plans and availability to attend the FI PPP session at the IoT week on June 8 at 16:00pm in Barcelona. Are any of the projects represented at the IoT week?

 

The organisers have planned for a FI PPP session, which we could have, providing that we have enough interest among the FI PPP projects to participate. 

 

This type of coordination of participation and presentations will be the topic of the FI PPP Dissemination Working Group. However, we are still in the process of setting up the group and the working procedures, and thus I approach you by email in regards to this June event.

 

Please send me your confirmed representatives (if any) by the end of the week.

thank you for your pro-activeness in contacting the FI PPP projects. 

 

I represent the FI PPP Coordination and Support Action, CONCORD, which has the objective of creating links with the related initiatives and potential new validation use cases for the Technology Platform. In this effort we look to collaborate with all FI PPP projects through a cross-project Working Group. Collaboration with IoT is naturally also in the agenda.

 

CONCORD would be available to attend the IoT week and the session as proposed, as well as coordinate the potential participation of the other FI PPP Projects. All projects naturally decide for themselves whether to participate. Since CONCORD does not play a role in the technical development and validation, I wonder it would be of interest to hear FI PPP plans in other Programme related aspects, like SME and user engagement, policy contributions etc. 

 

CONCORD will take an action point to confirm the potential representation and presentations with the Coordinators by May 16th.

 

Please also note that all FI PPP Projects are presented the same week at the 2nd Summit for the European Future Internet in Luxemburg.

Dear colleagues,

The IoT Week (www.iot-week.eu, 6-9 June 2011, Barcelona) is an event organised by four European Projects focusing on Internet of Things (IoT-A ; IoT-I ; CASAGRAS2 ; Smart Santander) with the support of the IERC, a Research Cluster on the Internet of Things. One of the planned sessions of this event is on FI PPP with the goal to discuss the planned applications of IoT technology in your projects as well as to present the ongoing developments in the 4 mentioned projects for mutual benefit. 

 

We are interested to know if you plan to use IoT and how, what are the scenarios you have in mind and what are your evaluation plans and techniques related to IoT. On the other hand, we will present scenarios analysed in these projects, research results related to the IoT architecture and available technology as well as the capabilities of a city-scale IoT experimentation platform. 

 

We hope that this session will enable fruitful cross-dissemination in the IoT domain and help all involved project in driving the IoT research and its application forward in a coordinated manner. 

 

Therefore, I would like to invite you or a representative of your projects to take active part in this event. The session is scheduled for Wednesday 08/06/2011 at 16.00, but you are of course free to participate in other sessions as well. 

 

I would appreciate if you could let me know if you will be able to participate as soon as possible, but not later then 16/05/2011.
