Hi all,

Let me forward this e-mail to the PCC members and ensure that your teams are aware of this info (see below).

The communication you see below has been made by Milon to the DWG and as you can see -and it is not a surprise to all of us- registrations are still quite limited- even if the early registration period finishes on the 1st of February.

I would like to inform you that the presence of FI-WARE is not defined at all at this stage.
* The workshop that was planned by FI-WARE was driven by the Chamber of Commerce (partner from the 3rd Open Call), but the characteristics of ECFI do not fit with the needs of this workshop and it will finally be a separate event.
* The PCC has not taken a decision on the booth --> Please, could we decide this ASAP?
* Since the slot of the FI-WARE session is free now, the DWG welcomes an alternative proposal by FI-WARE. I can support the preparation, but I need some views and validation by the PCC on the approach and interest to do so. If not, XIFI has submitted another proposal for session-

If we do not answer positively to any of these options FI-WARE will be almost invisible in ECFI (Juanjo has been invited as speaker to one of the sessions and as far as I know, Carlos Domingo may also have a speech in the plenary). The project has to contribute to the event in any case with 6K euro and not being there would be bad from a political point of view....(I prefer not to enter into the subject of usefulness).

I will be waiting for your reactions!!!!

Nuria

Subject: [FI-PPP DWG] Promotion of the ECFI event in Brussels / status of registrations

Dear all,

Registrations for the ECFI event in Brussels are not yet at the level where we would like to see them. By today we had 33 registrations. The early-bird deadline ends in 3 days on 1 February - see http://www.ecfi.eu/register-brussels2014/

This is now a crucial time for the promotion of our joint FI-PPP event. In order to make it a success, all projects need to do their best to attract the target audiences, i.e. industry and political stakeholders, to register for the event.

Thus, I appeal to you to invite potential participants now through all your available channels in order to get the right quality and quantity of participation for our joint FI-PPP event. I am convinced that with a joint effort, it is possible to mobilise a good number of people from our target audiences.

When you do mailings or other promotion for the event, I would appreciate if you could share to how many and what type of recipients you sent the invitation. Even better would be to send me the names and affiliations of the people you invited to avoid spamming recipients.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions on how to promote the ECFI event in Brussels to the audiences of your respective projects.

Best regards,

Milon
