[Fiware-pois] Discussion on new POI format

Hi Timo,

sorry for not attending the audio, but I had another important meeting
this morning.
Regarding the answer you provide, it does not make sense to me:

My SE (Fusion Engine, FE) has POIs and is able to integrate within
FIWARE exporting data to POI DP GE.
The FE is also able to provide a basic POI API interface as specified by
FIWARE (discussed within FiContent2 WP3), but only for inquiry purposes.
By exporting it to POI DP GE, one may add or manipulate POIs.

There is no link between the FE and the Orion CB.
If the 'fw_generic' component is just designed to be used for the Orion
CB, then this is not what I'm looking for. Anyway, in the link you
provide (
https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Publish/Subscribe_Broker_-_Orion_Context_Broker_-_Quick_Start_for_Programmers)
I cannot find any information regarding this 'fw_generic' component.

I'm interested in providing additional information regarding a
particular POI. In our case (FiContent2) we used Fallas (as POIs) for a
large experiment in Valencia. Each Falla had a president, an artist, a
Major Fallera, etc. These are specific pieces of information particular
for these POIs and useful for users, which should be mapped to an
existing 'fw_*'component. Reading the POI API spec and looking in the
FIWARE wiki about the POI DP GE I didn't find any useful component.
There might be an option of creating new components, but:
- I think this is not the best approach because this would launch the
generation of many other potential fw_components for other POIS. And it
is better to have less components for several reasons. Moreover if this
issue can be easily solved with a general container with key-value items
- I didn't find a tutorial on the FIWARE wiki about how to add a new
component to POI DP GE. I also suspect this might not be easy.

So when I read about the 'fw_generic' it waked up my interest as I think
this is probably the easiest approach not only for my case but for many
other POIs (enablers)

In fact I wrote several weeks ago an e-mail about this issue to Ari but
I didn't get any feedback.

Kind regards,
Benjamin
