Hi Pepe,

Thanks a lot, I believe we can put a short description of ROS and its evolution, smoothing the focus on functionality gaps and mentioning the reliability ones. I'll try to combine together some sentence for this part.

Oggetto: [Fiware-robotics] Standardization Gap Analysis

Hi,

Piear, I'm not totally sure about what should we send to you related with this section.

The standard that is relevant for FIROS is the evolution of ROS: ROS 2.0. It includes many improvements in several aspects (network usage, zeroconf, stability, etc), take a look to http://design.ros2.org/articles/why_ros2.html. Since it is in alpha stage we don't think that there is a gap in functionality but in stability.

I'm not sure if we can ask for changes in NGSI, nut it would be great to...
- have some kind of ONCHANGE subscription that only send the las value that has changed.
- support keep-alive in HTTP in order to improve the amount of sockets used.

Thank you very much,

Pepe.
