Hi Nuno,
I send you herewith my review.  The FIWARE score is from 0 to 5: 0-2 depending of GEs usage, +1 due to integration in architecture, +1 if cloud is used, +-1 (max) depending on the idea, potential and other factors.

Some important comments:


1.       There are a good number of good proposals (~15), good ideas with interesting proposed usage of FIWARE. Some of them are excellent.

2.       There are a few (5) of them where FIWARE usage is not explained at all, or it’s just about cloud, and the idea has not particular potential in my view. These are “no-go’s” from my point of view. You will see them in red background.

3.       There are several (9) proposals where the FIWARE usage is not that clear, but in combination with the idea and it’s potential, they could go or not depending on your thresholds. They are “orange”. They will have to make an effort to fit in FIWARE in order to pass round B.

4.       There are three proposals from the same company (even with slightly different names). The funny thing is that I realized because their FIWARE usage field is almost the same in all cases (and not too good). I guess that’s not allowed and only one may be selected. The proposals are: 156943, 156878,  153219 (they are in yellow bg but the last one, that is in red--rejected). Moreover, proposal 150297 uses almost the same FIWARE field, but it comes from a different organization (and the organization name cited in that field is even different)...

5.       The rest of the proposals are good enough.

Please, take into account that I have somehow taken into account that this is Round A, and that the selected projects will have to work now in the definition of FIWARE architecture to go on to the round B. Otherwise, proposals described in point 3 should have been rejected too.

enclose I am sending you the pre-selection (56 proposals) made by our external Evaluators of the 182 proposals we received within SOUL-FI.

As we discussed during the FIWARE Bootcamp in Lisbon, we promissed our applicants to give them a feedback until the end of the month; meaning that I require your feedback until Thursday (27.11.2014); is it possible?

I would also like to provide you a briefing before you start your review. This is due to the fact that you have to understand in what stage we are within SOUL-FI and what is requested at this stage from the applicants of ROUND A.
