Hi Juanjo, dear colleagues WPL and WPA, We have a testbed where the Use Case projects are able to test some GEs but if they want to download a software package to test it in another context or to use it in a development do we have any Fi-Ware policy for that and also a place to put the software package for download activities? (and are we able to track how many downloads were down during a week, a month...) I have this question because I received an email from a partner of Outsmart to use an IoT GE in a standalone instantiation. The package is running on the testbed but we provide an OSGi bundle so it is to be implemented on any OSGi platform. Regarding the catalogue where we have to refine the presentation of GE with assets names we can use the download folder to provide the software package but currently there is a limitation on the size of "document" or "packages" we can upload (GE owner side). I would not push to increase the size because we have to know if we will have enough storage facilities where the catalogue is hosted and that will depend on the policy we will apply for all software packages. Some other concerns regarding download facilities are also the rights (IPR) and lifecycle of the package. We have the Collaboration Agreement where the UC projects and partners involved in can use our softwares for FI PPP activities. How can we manage that they will not use the software outside? One of the solutions could be to put in place some mechanisms to disable the software after a certain date. The date could be the end of the FI PPP as well as some Fi-Ware release date especially if the softwares will have new versions and because we did not validate any compatibility from one version to another one. This kind of policy should also be aligned with IPR choices that the EC is asking us regarding how companies will maintain some GEs/assets at the end of the project, but also for outside communities. So today I expect 3 answers: 1. If we have a download policy (if yes we can just apply it)? 2. If not how can we work on this policy? 3. Regarding Outsmart request, do I have to manage the point directly with them and in this case I would use the catalogue as a single entry point but I could set a precedent (and EC could request the same thing from everybody). Thanks for your answers and comments.
