Here are some more:

The migration of one infrastructure service from service provider A to
service provider B

                - see infoq.com/articles/open-interoperable-cloud for
details

The provisioning of a secure infrastructure service

                - partitioned VMs

                - partitioned networks

                - RBAC access enabled

                - VM images cryptographically verified

Discovery, Negotiation and Provisioning of an infrastructure service using a
machine readable SLA

Open APIs to infrastructure services that not only open but are extensible

                - standardised but still allow service providers
differentiate via easy extension

Manipulation of infrastructure service monitoring and notifications both at
provisioning time and during runtime and by service operator and service
owner's perspectives

Manipulation of data on an object store using a standardized interface
(CDMI)

                - should allow setting of metadata per object to aid
placement with respect to non-functional qualities

                - allow users and operators access to storage metrics

Allow prospective users discover available service provider offerings

Andy

Subject: [Fiware-cloud] Resource Management GE -- initial list of Epics

Hi,

I've tried to come up with an initial list of Epics describing the main work
areas associated with the Resource Management GE. Your comments are welcome.

1.	Basic IaaS stack up and running (compute, storage)

2.	Virtual networking with Open vSwitch

3.	Storage enhancements

4.	Security considerations

5.	Monitoring and integration with metrics framework (resource
utilization, management events, etc)

6.	Enhancements to management fabric (scalability, resiliency, etc)

7.	Resource guarantees and performance isolation

8.	Mobility and related scenarios

9.	Enhanced VM placement

10.	Automation of bare-metal operations

11.	Capacity planning, over-commit management and admission control

12.	APIs (e.g., OCCI)

13.	Admin toolkit

14.	Integration with Service Management GE

15.	Support federation scenarios

Regards,
Alex
