[Fiware-ge-owners] Agile dynamic: planning Sprint 4.1.1

Dear Partners,

Today we start Sprint 4.1.1, which mean we start three time frames:

·         Major Release 4, lasting 1 Year;

·         Minor Release 4.1, lasting a term (3 months),

·         And Sprint 4.1.1, lasting 1 month.

For the sprint, the time structure comes defined by four time spots:

1.       Beginning of the sprint (today), and of the sprint and release planning period

2.       End of the sprint planning period (normally it'll be day 7, in this sprint it'll be day 10)

3.       Beginning of the sprint closing period - normally it'll be on day 24th

4.       End of the sprint - last day of the month

I'll send reminders for all of them, marking the End sport with a last email holding a LAST CALL label in the subject.
Obviously you can take development or work actions from the first to the last day of the sprint/release, but please don't forget to inform them in the tracker.

Please, remember I have to attend your last meeting devoted to sprint planning and closing, therefore, I'd appreciate receiving the corresponding invitations.

Let me say the sprint planning period is useful for those developing new features, stories, etc, I mean those following a roadmap. Those working on demand need to be reactive and their action is led by unknown incoming requests more than proactive thinking and planning. I assume some groups will have to balance the two work modes, since fixing bugs can become important to make our FIWARE developers happy. In these cases, backlog issues can be created as bugs or workitem as you identify them and progress on them.

As you may know, our tracker is JIRA, located at this url: http://jira.fi-ware.org. We're sharing it with XI-FI project, however, our trackers will be easily identifiable in the category FIWARE - Phase II

I'm creating all trackers for all chapters, working groups and management next days so that you can create the corresponding issues before finishing the sprint planning period.
I'm also creating a web site where you'll have different agile views: Burn-down, roadmap, historic graphs and Kanban boards for the trackers, in addition to reviews, etc, although it'll take longer.

Then, OK, let's start with Sprint 4.1.1!!!
