Hi Pier and all, I am interested to work in the I2ND architecture task force. Best regards, Jean-Pierre De : fiware-i2nd-bounces at lists.fi-ware.eu [mailto:fiware-i2nd-bounces at lists.fi-ware.eu] De la part de Garino Pierangelo Envoyé : vendredi 13 janvier 2012 14:41 À : fiware-i2nd at lists.fi-ware.eu Objet : [Fiware-i2nd] FI-WARE architecture description Dear All, Yesterday in a WPL/WPA confcall we addressed the issue of describing the Architecture specs for FI-WARE, which didn't progress so much (or not at all...) in some cases so far. I expressed for I2ND the fact there are some concerns about how to perform this task, including some uncertainty about guidelines and lack of examples/templates. The outcomes of the discussion were the following: - We can take as an example the draft description already available from IoT, which is using FMC as formalism to describe in a uniform way the architecture diagrams. This will be made accessible through the FI-WARE private wiki (currently those of you having access to the Forge IoT project can get access to their private wiki to see that description). I believe that for all the GEs in I2ND FMC can be adopted (for sure T7.3 already endorsed it). - The Task Forces mentioned in our last I2ND call, that are extremely important to manage interaction among GEs of I2ND and of other chapters, are nearly up and running: mailing lists are ready and will be circulated asap. Therefore we have to join those lists we'll follow directly. For this, we have to finalise the choice of people attending each of them. This activity is assumed to be beneficial for the architecture specs. Please let me know if there are volunteers for such groups, or I'll provide a proposal according to the outcomes of the call we had. - Another point: the finalization of the meeting agenda is in progress, you can check the status at the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqGGeaQGro3fdFVQMzYzOFJvNzFncTR3YjdOVVNTVnc <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqGGeaQGro3fdFVQMzYzOFJvNzFncTR3YjdOVVNTVnc> at the moment, there has been a number of changes: o On Monday ther won't be the Task meetings in the afternoon, as the WPL/WPA is probably shifted there o On Thursday we'll have a shorter meeting with Security, and an additional one with WP9. o There is no longer a meeting with Apps on Wednesday. For this latter, please let me know what could be the main topics of discussion with them, especially in my view concerning interaction with S3C and the ' network services' it can provide to that chapter, and I'll provide to insert a new session with them. We have to make important progresses on the architecture description, so that we are able to come to a nearly final refinement during the Madrid meeting. For this reason please share with me and Hans any concern you still have about the architecture description of the GEs you are involved in by Monday 16, so that I can provide these comments to the ProjCoord and get a feedback, thanks.
