[Fiware-testbed] [Suspected Spam] Fwd: Thoughts and possible contributions from TID & Data Chapter GEs for D

Dear Paolo

I dispatched with my colleague Carlos and (read the message at the bottom) this is the summary of the reactions within WP6 (Data). Knowing full well that the structure of WP10 is per partner, this approach is not exactly as planned. But given the poor response in a few companies, we have to try both ways (per partner and per WP)

As regards TID, my colleague Pablo Arozarena has already confirmed that he has not GEs for the 1st release (WP3), Fernando has filled in his part (WP4 - cloud) and Carlos (WP6) is also stating that TID has no integration tests for R1 in Data.

I should talk again to the contacts for our GEs in IoT (WP5) as last time I did there were things to clarify- only pending part from Telefónica, if I am right.

Best regards,

Miguel

Miguel,

Thanks for clarifying what was actually expected from our side to accomplish D10.3.a deadlines.

The overall conclusion/thought from Data chapter is that the wiki-document itself is a little bit confusing from both the contributors and potential readers standpoints.

We think it would have been significantly easier to compile which GEs are to be ready for the 1st release and some kind of diagram with expected relations for the 1st GE, rather than a plain list of expected interactions detailed to the level of input/expected output.

However, we have concluded the following in a per-GE analysis:

* BigData: we have worked out in different workshops, detailed concrete scenarios with BigData-CEP and BigData-PubSub interaction.
Out of the Data WP, we are identifying BigData-IoT_GEs interactions.
However, these interactions will not be implemented as part of the 1st release and thus not suitable for input/expected output description at some point.

* CEP: CEP+BigData/MongoDB integration will be for 2nd release not 1st one. Nothing to be reported for 10.3.a at this point then (it will be in second release).

* Semantic Support: no integrations foreseen for the 1st release. With PubSub, at least, for the 2nd.
* Location Server: Some discussions happened with Boris but nothing is expect for 1st release.
* QueryBroker, Metadata Preprocessing & MM Analysis: Looks like Siemens has identified some dependencies and I am checking to what extend they are contributing with this to 10.3.a.

So, as you can see, it seems that the way it is defined there is little from our side we are actually contributing to (with the possible exception of Siemens GEs).

Let me know if there is something we misunderstood.
Best regards,
