Dear all 'Berliners',
IoT Week will be in Berlin in 2023 (quite amazing!).
For those of you being* in Berlin next week Monday*, I am formally asking
who can participate (1 o 2 persons) in this networking and first info event.
Myself cannot be in Berlin, however it has its importance to be there to
- get into the fair executive management and hold the flag for FIWARE
(here, it depends on us if we want to spend little or bit more time with
it) - and make yourself a name
- find collaboration partners (FIWARE won't run a big set up at IoT Week
for the fact that it's one week after our Summit, but we could look for
partner to co-exhibit with like we are doing at Salon des Maire with AWS or
E-world with Atos).
- lots will be there who are already or could become par to our
German-speaking network (no matter that IoT Week is fully international)
- be the first ones to hear what IoT Week is planning
- check out what options we win/get for FIWARE e.g. as a supporter to
bring cities - in return we could get a free speaker's slot, or other ideas.
Last but not least, have a dinner at a nice place in Berlin.
This is an event, outreach and community activity.
It can also be covered by one full employee and one working student like
Rosemah or Xhulja.

The IoT Week 2023 in Berlin
IoT Week 2023 continues to explore the latest digital technologies and
trends shaping societies and businesses toward the creation of sustainable,
data-driven global economies. Berlin will host industry and academic
experts from around the world to share best practice examples and jointly
explore challenges and barriers that the research and innovation ecosystem
has to address on the path toward the achievement of the UN Sustainable
Development Goals.
The IoT Week 2023 in Berlin will invite you to discover the latest
developments with innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence,
edge computing, extended reality and metaverse, Blockchain, Quantum
Computing, Robotics, Data Sovereignty, data spaces, etc. We will navigate
across diverse verticals, from smart communities, smart manufacturing, and
smart agriculture to mobility, e-health, climate change and sustainable
development, and energy efficiency.
The Location
In the former Kosmos film theater, history is preserved and the present is
lived. The architectural masterpiece of the GDR was built in 1961 and
lovingly renovated in the late 1990s. Hall 1 offers the ideal setting for
congresses for up to 1,000 people, gala events for up to 450 guests or
events of any kind. The location also has five additional event rooms,
three of which are equipped with fixed cinema seating. Conveniently located
near the well-known Alexanderplatz, the Kosmos offers all the prerequisites
for professional planning, implementation and follow-up of an event.
