Dear all,

This is a reminder of the confcall we will have today.

The link to the GoToMeeting was:
https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/439114557

Since we don't have any idea about what people from OneM2M and Smart
M2M are going to tell us, despite we asked, let's try to show a single
front. If they come with something rather strange, let's discuss that
later among us.

My major concern is that they try to establish some sort of
dependency (or even worse, subordination) of the work in the CIM ISG
with respect to the work in OneM2M. That is something we should avoid,
because may suppose that our success becomes dependent on theirs (and
market is not giving it a great momentum, I'm afraid not because of the
merits of OneM2M but probably because the IoT field is a world of wars
and chaos where it's going to be difficult to see a winner). However,
if they come with any idea like that, let's state that while we have
always agreed that we have to support that the work of the ISG should
not overlap that of OneM2M, we believe that the CIM ISG should be
independent, because indeed it is not IoT specific. That as a general
principle but declaring that, in any case, we would need to discuss
their proposal among us before coming with a definitive response.

In general, I believe we should listen to what they are going to tell
us and then have a separated call afterwards, where we can discuss and
agree on a common position.

It would be nice if we could keep a chat line in parallel through
Skype if you have a Skype account. Mine is juanjose.hierro
Otherwise, I guess we may use the private chat of GoToMeeting, but the
issue then is that it doesn't allow us to chat in group.

   Cheers,

-- Juanjo
