Hi Robert, It seems we are facing some sort of "chicken & egg" problem as already mentioned .... I do think that for some of the other WPs it is difficult to figure how they would integrate with our Security GEs (starting first with Core GEs : Idm, privacy, data handling) if they don't see first how the architecture for each of them (so including Idm) will look like and second what are the concrete technologies/APIs that we will be used /offered for that. That's exactly why I asked you (as T8.2 lead) and other Task lead/GE owners to prepare a slideset answering this point and others (as per minutes of yesterday auduio). I remain convinced that if we managed to get each of our GEs enough detailed (architecture, accompanying APIs, ...), getting feedback from their side and so more detailed requirements will come naturally. Of course this doesn't prevent us to also express requirements we see to be addressed by each of our GEs (as we did already to some extent). Hope you share and with your slideset we will manage to have it done for what concerns core GEs (Idm & access control at first place but also privacy and data handling). E.g. on Monday this week we had a session with WP7 (Hans Einsiedler, Deutsche Telekom, WPL) in order to get their requirements related to IDM. During the telco it turned out that they still have to think about it and for that reason that there are no requirements related to IDM at the moment. They promised to put this on the WP7 agenda for the upcoming meeting in Madrid. So again, for me concrete requirements would be appreciated. Focus is on joint WPA meeting to align on architectural issues. Daniel and I will join on behalf of the security team. Daniel will be attending as Security Architect of WP8. I do think this is a unique opportunity for us to make progress on architectural stuff and also converge with other participants to a more detailed architecture (better integrating the bits and pices coming from each of the ATs). As such I insist to get architectural issues and also (hot) questions/topics to voice from our side (also yours) at this meeting. We will join to ours and try to have them addressed and get back to you with responses formulated at this internal type of Architecture Board meeting. Counting on you ALL and especially task leads, caretakers but also members of this team to mcontribute their hot and topical architectural questions by Tomorrow so Friday 20/01/2012 EOB. Many thanks in advance and consider it as a unique opportunity to get AB answers to topical questions this team has! Hearing from you.
