Dear WP9 members,
As I already informed Davide on Friday, UDE has no problem with the deadline extension as proposed by Davide.
Kind regards,

Dear Davide,
as you are already mentioned, we are leaving after M36, so we would prefer to keep the M36 due date for the deliverable.
But even if we would stay, I don't know if it is a wise thing to do. I would assume the commission wants us to deliver "fast", so the applications can pick the material up as early as possible.
yes, but we have to recover the rejection as "the document cannot be considered an adequate resource for users".
If we cannot have a complete coverage of the new chapter by M36, my position will be to deliver in delay and
once that chapter is finalized ... anyway last word to UDE that's leading this deliverable.
Also the expectations about the deliverable quality will be higher. After all it is 4 more months of time - even though there is not more funding ...
no more funding ... the shift is only related to the need of synchronization with the project to be developed.
It doesn't imply additional content.
Nevertheless, if the deliverable is moved to M40, then we (SAP) will have to contribute our content by M36.
right
This also means that we would need your support to ensure we can do it (having the contacts with the application, but also having a stable document outline where we can fit our content in).
for the moment I have only the contact of Marco Pistore (FBK) but no one from the development side.
I take advantage to remind all the other partners to express their position.
thank you,
Davide
Kind Regards,
Daniel

Importance: High
Dear partners,
this mail to collect your opinion on the idea to move the deadline
of the Handbook to M40.
Here below the reasons:
- FBK is still defining the application to develop, next week I can have
a clearer view
- time's running and M36 is end of next month and we have to deliver
something valuable
- it's not a good idea to deliver in delay once we fixed the new deadline.
- we can deliver the handbook once it's done ... also before M40
- most of the partners agreed to remain for the extension until M40
(SAP is the only exception that in any case has to provide the
contribution by M36)
- we need to act fast and include the shift into the amendment 6 (still
open)
in addition to the previous points:
- next week I'm going to meet also other colleague of mine working on
FINESCE that are developing a trial using Context Broker, Big Data and
CEP that can be used as additional project (if not as plan B). I'll for
their availability
to allow us to use our tool in their project.
I'm going to anticipate this idea to Juanjo by mail and I want to
communicate out final decision by next
Monday 17th March during the weekly WPL/WPA conf call.
Thank you for your attention and I'm sure you can dedicate the time to
elaborate and share your position on this
no later than Monday 17th March 9.00 AM
Kind Regards,
Davide
